Welcome.
I specialize in providing compassionate online therapy for clients in California, integrating depth psychology, mindfulness, and somatic practices for holistic healing.
I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT #155747) and Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC #20389), currently accruing supervised hours toward licensure at Lichen Health under the supervision of Robert Steffke, LMFT #90265.
My work integrates depth psychology, Hakomi, somatic psychotherapy, and mindfulness to support personal transformation, integration, and embodied presence.
I hold a Master’s in Counseling Psychology, a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, a Doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine, and a Master’s in Traditional Chinese Medicine, with additional training in meditation instruction and medical qigong. I have completed foundational Hakomi training and am currently in Year Two of the advanced three-year Hakomi program in Mallorca.
My approach is trauma-informed and experiential, grounded in the belief that meaningful change arises through presence, relationship, and the body’s innate intelligence.
Who I Work With.
I work with adults, couples, and teens who are seeking depth-oriented therapy and are open to somatic and mindfulness-based exploration. Many are navigating life transitions, identity questions, relational patterns, or experiences of anxiety, depression, or grief, and are seeking deeper self-understanding.
This work is reflective, experiential, and paced with care.
Approach / How I Work
Depth Psychotherapy
I integrate depth psychotherapy, a psychodynamic approach rooted in the work of Carl G. Jung, to help clients access the deeper layers of the psyche. This includes exploring archetypes, imagery, symbols, sensations, and dreams, supporting personal insight and meaningful transformation.
Somatic & Body-Centered Psychotherapy
Guided by the Hakomi principle of non-violence, I use somatic inquiry to explore the body in mindful states. Breath, bodily sensations, and imagery become tools to access and process experiences that may have remained unintegrated, allowing the body and psyche to work together in healing.
Mindfulness
Mindfulness is central to my work, helping both client and therapist remain attuned to the present moment. It provides a framework to notice thoughts, emotions, and bodily responses as they arise, fostering awareness, regulation, and integration.

About Willow Renée
I work with individuals, couples, and families in online therapy spaces designed to support growth, resilience, and self-awareness. Clients often report deeper insight into relational patterns, improved emotional regulation, and a stronger sense of personal integration over the course of our work together.
My approach integrates depth-oriented psychotherapy, somatic exploration, and mindfulness. Sessions are guided by reflective inquiry and attention to lived experience, creating an online therapeutic space where meaningful change can unfold naturally.
As a dedicated associate marriage and family therapist, my practice evolved from a desire to offer accessible, meaningful mental health care that goes beyond traditional talk therapy. My training in psychology and experiential approaches informs how I support clients in engaging both inner life and relationship with the world.
This orientation is further shaped by my graduate research, including my thesis:
Between Worlds: Teletherapy as a Liminal Space for Hakomi and Depth Psychological Practice.
